This is what I expected their Super Cluster pale to taste like. Just a hoppy pale ale, nothing more, nothing less. Full on hop assault with not much else to it. A weird metalilic aftertaste.... (I've noticed this with a lot of Lagunitas beers)

Lacks sufficient malt to counter balance the grapefruit hops. While styled as a pale ale, it's more an IPA piney grapefruit finish and aftertaste. Literally grapefruit juice and seltzer. Disappointing.

Frooty hops popped out of the can, but in the glass the hops had a brighter citrus scent, over some sweet malts.
On the tongue, the malty sweetness was at the front, and a bitter citrus bite at the back.
The body was medium-light, smooth, and had a semi-sweet finish.
Drinkability was OK, but 19+oz at a time made the beer too boring.
Overall, another middle-of-the-road IPA from these guys.

Rather bitter aftertaste and a lingering astringent bite on the tongue. This is kind of interesting but it seems to tire the palate for some reason. From the 12 oz can purchased at Trader Joes. Julian Date 239 which puts it canned in late August 2020.

Look: Deep golden color, perfect clarity. Fizzy little bubbles rising up. Nice one-finger head upon pour, but reduced to a thin film now with some nice lacing.
Smell: Very pleasant aromas - peachy, floral, and slightly dank and piney. Some other subtle tropical fruit notes, but nothing that is easily discerned. I get a faint coconut aroma on the back end.
Taste: Very well balanced and refreshing. This is so easy to drink, which is great because it's a tall-boy can. Flavors follow the nose up front with nice fruitiness and sweetness, then there is a lingering resinous and pithy bitterness on the back end that leaves a dry finish. Makes you want to quench your thirst with another gulp.
Feel: Medium bodied.
Overall: This is a very solid offering. If you like pale ales that have a decent amount of bittering, you'll like this. You could call it a "west coast pale ale." I could see how a lot of the new school folks would not enjoy this due to the bitter finish. Also impressive that this beer tastes quite fresh at 3 1/2+ months old.

S: Peaches and sugary citrus fruit on the nose. Lemonade with hints of lime and apricot, are wet and juicy. Some apple juice has a fresh wet scent that was very smooth. A finale of some pineapple juice.
T: Prickly citrus and pineapple fruit on the opening sip. Juicy citrus and pine resin hops are feathery and lightly dry. Grapefruit with some orange peel bitterness balances on a finish that has some dry grainy feel.
M: Nice fullness, thick and soft, lightly dry and flowery hop texture touches the tongue with a powdery after feel. Some alcohol laced hop flowers, sweet and juicy.
O: Sumpin good. Once again Lagunitas makes an easy to drink hoppy refreshing summer drink that shows their mastery of balance. Nice grainy base, hoppy twang, flowery pine with a lot of intricate fine moving parts within making for a solid outstanding drinking experience. Good rate of drinkability, enjoyable, that will make you keep coming back for more.

Look- Clear golden amber color. Large rocky bright white head with great retention, solid lacing. Ample carbonation streams visible.
Smell- Big hits of tropical fruit (pineapple, papaya and mango), citrus (orange, grapefruit and lemon), light peach, caramel malt, pine and spicy/grassy hop notes.
Taste- Similar to the aroma. Tropical fruit, citrus, peach, pine presents itself more than in the aroma, sweet malts with a moderate lingering hoppy bitter finish. Pretty well balanced.
Feel- Medium bodied and pretty crisp. Medium carbonation on the tongue.
O- A nice easy drinking PA. Really affordable too, worth checking out.

Look: Other reviews on here claim that this beer is slightly hazy, but my can was pretty clear. Pours a light, golden straw color with a loose, bubbly head that dissipates into a ring on the glass. Looks heavily carbonated with an almost soda-like effervescence. Doesn't lace on the glass.
Smell: Hop dominated, but has a baked bread, malty aroma to kick. Bright and fruity.
Taste: Tangerine, citrusy taste combines with carbonation to provide a bright first impression. The longer you let it sit in your mouth, the sweet bread malt profile emerges more- like a dinner roll. The finish is moderately bitter and with pronounced wheat grains.
Feel: Lighter body with heavier carbonation. As far as how "easy" it is, its name is appropriate.
It's flavorful and unique, but would benefit from a heavier body to enrich the beer. It's an excellent choice for the summer, and a unique example of the style. Would definitely get on tap. Lagunitas makes good beer, man.

Head: Beautiful 1 inch head with even bubbles that dissipate in three minutes leaving beautiful thick lacing behind. Thin white rim remained.
Color: Clear, amber.
Aroma: Jack fruit, mangoes, peaches, hops.
Taste: Starts off with sweet jack fruit, and a very mild fennel like taste for the first few seconds followed by a mild bitter taste of hops that lingers at the back of the tongue. Light and very refreshing.
Carbonation: Medium and does not mask the fruity sweet taste in the beginning.
Would drink again? Yes
